Ever seen a poster, advert or product yourself and thought “I’ll try to remember that and look it up later” and then didn’t? Could this be happening to your advertising too?
Enter QR Codes…
By publishing a QR code on your products, mailers and advertising, it’s a whole lot easier to get your web link or contact details onto your potential customer’s mobile phone or other mobile device.
A QR Code looks like this:

If you have a mobile device with a camera, then with the right application installed, you can scan the QR Code and be taken to the link that is embedded into the code. The link can be to a webpage, a phone number, plain text or a contact card with all of your contact details.
QR Codes can be placed on the back of business cards, on newsletters and printed advertising, and can also be delivered digitally, on the internet or television.
If you are looking for a great way to reach clients and be more accessible you should investigate if QR Codes are something you could utilise.
There are a number of free applications available for the most popular mobile operating systems:
For Apple devices, you could use QR Reader for iPhone By TapMedia Ltd:

For Android devices, you could use QR Reader for Android By TapMedia Ltd:

There are a number of websites (and some of them are free!) which allow you to create your own QR Codes, which can be embedded into documents, web pages or saved as an image.
One such website is http://www.the2dcode.com/qr-code-generator

Once you have entered in the information you would like the code to link to, click ‘Create QR Code’ and save the resultant QR code image as appropriate.

Focus Technology Group provides support for our EXO system which we use for general ledger, stocks and payments. This has required significant customisation and refinement, in particular to accommodate payments to suppliers. We appreciate the services of Alex Ball who has always risen to the challenge of developing changes to the basic EXO package and has proven himself to be timely, accurate and very capable over a long period.
