PDF (Portable Document Format) is a universal document type that all operating systems and applications can understand.
PDFs have the advantage of being smaller in size (easier to email) and difficult to change or edit (which is good for quotes)
Adobe (and other vendors) provide free tools for viewing PDF files but do charge for their PDF creation tools. However there are free tools available and we detail how to install one of these in the following tip.
PDF Creation tools work by installing a ‘virtual printer’ on your PC that converts your print job to a PDF file when you print to it.
Run through the steps and default settings
On completion of download PDF Creator will now appear as a document print option, select PDF Creator and save the document in desired location.
