Growth continues for local IT services company, Focus Technology

We are pleased to welcome Brendon McDermott into the newly created role as General Manager, based in Invercargill.

The creation of the General Manager role has been driven by us identifying opportunities to further develop our business software solutions. Rod Sinclair, Founder & Managing Director will now concentrate on supporting the continued ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) growth and on accelerating the growth and development of their job-management subsidiary, TimeTrak.

Brendon will be responsible for leading Focus on a day-to-day basis, supporting the team to continue delivering IT expertise to organisations across the South Island.

Focus was founded by Rod Sinclair in Invercargill 28 years ago and now employs over 70 people in their 7 branches across Southland, Otago and Canterbury – a great story of growing up the island.

“We are proud of being seen as the local and approachable IT experts across the regions. Technology continues to change and so we are constantly looking at the needs of local organisations and how we can help,”

Rod explains.
“The appointment of Brendon represents our continued investment and enables us to focus on further improving our offering for customers,”

he adds.
Brendon previously spent 16 years with the regional sports trust, Active Southland, the last 10 of which were in the role of CEO. During this time, he led the organisation through a period of significant growth, developed a diverse range of partnerships and was recognised as a leader in the sport and active recreation sector locally and nationally.

He says:
